POOL & POOL HOUSE FOR "C" FAMILY

Location: Amagansett, New York
Architect & Designer: George Ranalli
Project Architect: John Butterworth
Project team: Nathaniel Worden, Aaron MacDonald

The project was a 1350 sq. ft. pool, lap pool, sitting pool, and a jacuzzi spa. Each element of the pool was designed to be used by a different age group. One of the most popular locations is the small inlet off the top step, which, at the the owner's request, was designed to allow babies to sit in about six inches of water while their parents sit around the edge of the same space. Older children can sit in the area under the fountain for conversation and wading. The deep end of the pool is used by the older adolescents for jumping and diving.

The pool is sited in a grass landscape with a small stone terrace around its irregular shape.
