Architect & Designer: George Ranalli
Project Architect: Price Harrison
Project Team: Fran Leadon, Mario Gentile
This installation design featured several of Scarpa´s projects which dealt with his interventions into historic settings. The delicate drawings were set in custom designed wood frames which allowed the drawings to float in the section of the body of the frame. Photographs by Guido Guidi were placed in steel easels with tilted tops so that the viewer's gaze moved from the walls to the easel tops. We also produced a set of analytic wood models of the Scarpa projects which helped facilitate a three dimensional understanding of these complex works of architecture. These models were set upon steel pedestals designed in concert with the photo easels.
